Newborn Essentials Donation Drive

Even under the best circumstances, the birth of a new baby can be overwhelming for Open Door families, most of whom live in poverty. The COVID-19 pandemic has created additional challenges and struggles for new parents. Open Door's Baby Bundle program provides its prenatal patients with newborn essentials, including educational materials and information about resources available both at Open Door and in the community.

The Baby Bundle program is sustained entirely through donations. The following supplies are urgently needed (find more here):

• Thermometers
• Sleep sacks
• Diaper cream
• Baby wipes
• Outfits

Volunteers can help by hosting their own donation drives with their friends, families, colleagues, or organizations in order to ensure that local mothers can give their babies a healthy start in life.

Open Door Family Medical Center provides quality healthcare to over 60,000 patients in Westchester and Putnam who are uninsured or underinsured. Open Door has been a lifeline to the community during the pandemic.
