Food Rescue Volunteer - Peekskill

County Harvest is an all-volunteer food rescue organization dedicated to helping communities throughout Westchester County by connecting food donors and agencies serving people in need. Every day, volunteers rescue good, excess food from supermarkets, wholesalers, farms, farmers markets, bakeries, caterers, country clubs, and corporate cafeterias and immediately deliver it to nearby soup kitchens, food pantries, homeless shelters, and community food programs.

Food Rescue Volunteers are the lifeblood of County Harvest. Volunteers can commit to a weekly food rescue run or simply fill in on occasion. Most food rescue runs take about an hour and can be done using the volunteer's own car or one of County Harvest's three vans.
