Emergency Blood Drive

Donating blood is safe and easy. Because of the coronavirus, it is critical that healthy people donate to ensure that there is a blood supply for hospital patients. IMPORTANT: Donors' temperatures are checked before they donate blood. If they have a temperature of 99.5 or higher, they cannot donate. There is no history of any respiratory illness being spread through a blood transfusion; however, individuals who are unwell should remain at home to prevent exposing medical workers and others to the virus. If you think you may be sick or are feeling unwell, or have been in contact with someone who may have been exposed to COVID-19, please do not sign up for this opportunity. (Feel better!) To donate blood: Express interest to record this opportunity in your Volunteer New York! profile Click here to review and complete the permission form (16-17 years old) Click here to review the height and weight requirements for donating blood Click here to schedule your appointment to donate blood.
