Clothing Sort for Children in Need
Volunteers are needed to organize, sort and package clothing for local children. Once new and gently used clothing is donated, volunteers sort, and double check the clothing before shelving where it will be ready for packaging into a weeks’ worth of matching outfits.
About the Sharing Shelf: The Sharing Shelf is Westchester's first clothing bank for infants, children and teens and distributes clothing through more than 50 food pantries, schools, hospitals and nonprofits in our county. The program was founded by a volunteer, is run by volunteers, and relies on volunteers to accomplish our work. The Sharing Shelf has seen more than a 30% increase in demand for clothing in 2014 and needs your help to meet the demand.
