2017 Citizen Science and Volunteer Forum

Are you looking for a way to study and give back to nature? Join us in celebrating volunteer and citizen scientist efforts at this special evening forum open to all ages. Our exciting guest speakers will describe local ongoing projects and inspire you to get directly involved in conservation work. Hear Akiko Busch read from her acclaimed book “The Incidental Steward: Reflections on Citizen Science” and learn what volunteers can do for the environment. We will also feature opportunities for careers in conservation. This event will be held at the Armstrong Preserve and Education Center’s Armstrong House, which was renovated by volunteers into an off-the-grid meeting and living space for the 21st century.
