Docent

Volunteers needed to be Museum docents. Potential docents will attend weekly Monday morning training programs in museum education theory and practice, as well as intensives that run 2 days in January and 4 days in June, after which they are observed and may join experienced docents on a day of the week of their choice (Tuesday through Friday) to conduct tours.

In addition to working weekly with school groups, there are opportunities to give tours to adults and senior citizens. All docents receive required ongoing training on Mondays and other opportunities for lifelong learning, including reciprocal entry to many other museums. New annual docent class forms in the fall (with an informational Open House in October) and begins in January.
