2022-2023 Studio Tour Guides

The Percy Grainger Society aims to promote the work and legacy of legendary pianist and composer Percy Grainger. Volunteer Tour Guides are needed to assist with leading guests on guided tours of the Percy Grainger Museum as well as other educational programs, as needed.

Studio Tour Guide responsibilities:

• Lead visitors on guided tours (approximately 45-60 minutes per tour) through the Museum at least once per month
• Complete volunteer orientation and training, which includes studying selected readings and accompanying current tours
• Assist with developing educational programs, as needed
• Support other events, as needed

Volunteer qualities:

• Enthusiastic and cheerful, with a penchant for lively storytelling
• Good communication and listening skills
• Willingness to learn
• Experience with music, history, art, or teaching (helpful, but not required!)

Time commitment:

• At least 2.5 hours one day a month
