Gleaning Team Farm Harvest Volunteers

Part of Hilltop Hanover Farm's mission is to donate at least 10% of everything grown. Local food pantry and food rescue partners around Westchester County that distribute this food directly into the hands of neighbors in need.

Hilltop Hanover Farm is looking for a dedicated group of 4-6 volunteers to join its Gleaning Team and to harvest, wash, and pack produce from July to September. Volunteers will be trained and are provided with supplies. Volunteers make a weekly or bi-weekly commitment (approximately 3 hours per shift). Shifts run around 8-11 a.m. or 9-12 p.m. on weekdays.

Volunteer should feel comfortable performing physical labor such as bending, squatting, standing, kneeling, sitting, washing, packing, and lifting. Dress for being outside in the sun! Wear sunscreen, a hat, lightweight long sleeve shirt and pants, boots or other comfortable closed-toed shoes, and bring water to stay hydrated.
