Lake Revitalization at Tibbetts Brook Park

Volunteers are needed to assist with a special invasive species removal project at Tibbetts Brook Park. Volunteers will be on land and in canoes hand-pulling an invasive aquatic plant from the lake. Those volunteers who are not going out in the rowboats will work from the land or wear waders standing in the shallow water. Tools and work gloves will be provided, but please bring your own water. Volunteers should wear clothes that can get wet, dirty and closed-toe shoes. No experience is necessary!

With these efforts, the Westchester Parks Foundation will be able to provide clean water for the return of native species, the use of the lake for recreation, and overall enhancement to the quality of life for over 100,000 community members.
