2021 Personal Care Item Drive

Among the many Americans who are suffering during the pandemic are our new neighbors—refugees and asylees. These vulnerable families often don't have much left after paying rent and utilities, and many have been forced to forgo essentials and personal care products.

Hearts & Homes for Refugees is partnering with Catholic Charities Community Service to distribute these essential items to our refugee and immigrant neighbors as part of its 💘 Love Your Neighbor Drive running now through Valentine's Day. (Click here for more information about this drive.)

Volunteers are needed to collect any or all of the following items (MUST be new and full-size):

• Toothpaste and toothbrushes
• Soap
• Feminine products (pads and tampons)
• Shampoo and conditioner
• Disposable razors and shaving cream
• Laundry detergent
• Hand sanitizers (medium containers only; NOT tiny portables or gallon jugs)
• Disinfectants (sprays/aerosols, both for surface and air use)

To volunteer:

1. Express interest below to alert this project's Volunteer Coordinator of your interest and to record this activity in your Volunteer New York! profile
2. Collect personal care items from the list above from now until February 14. The Volunteer Coordinator will follow up with instructions for dropping off your donations to a location in Yonkers the week of February 15
