United Way of Westchester and Putnam is looking for Volunteer Information Specialists for its 211 call center! United Way's 211 serves as a confidential, comprehensive, and primary entry point into community service information, referral, and assistance. This 211 call center is available 24 hours per day, 7 days a week.
The Volunteer Information Specialists help answer incoming calls as well as make calls related to many of the United Way's programs, such as tax assistance services, telephone surveys, or helping clients get connected to community resources. The minimum time commitment includes 2 hours of on-site training, and then 5 hours a day for two days a week (or 3 hours a day for three days a week) to be spent on-site.
