Fundraiser

Travel Unity is seeking a team of Fundraising Volunteers to work with its Fundraising Committee. Volunteers from all backgrounds and those with disabilities are encouraged to apply!

Fundraising Volunteers will learn about creating a fundraising event from concept to execution, including the best practices in fundraising event planning. They will be trained on cause-related stories, case statements, setting achievable goals, budget coordination, managing a functional database, gift acceptance policies, and providing inspiration to Boards. 

This role also involves assisting staff with promoting events and assisting in the production of advertisements, press releases, and promotional materials. Initiative with mailings to media, consumers, and other contacts is also necessary.  

Volunteers must be able to work on a team basis, communicate regularly, be proficient with meeting programs (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.), and enjoy the excitement of collaborative output.

This is an ample opportunity to work with travel professionals whose skills are wide-ranging. An appreciation for the value of travel in the lives of a diverse population where some are often impeded is key to this role. Express interest below!
