Help Sort Food and Distribute to the Community

LIFE Progressive Services Group is a nonprofit, grassroots organization serving the Mount Vernon community and formerly incarcerated individuals. It is seeking volunteers to assist with its weekly food distribution program, weather permitting, where they will help unload a delivery van, bring donated food items to the processing area for sorting and storage, and distribute the food to those in need in nearby neighborhoods. 

Note: Volunteers must be punctual and be able to lift 10 to 50 pounds up and down one flight of steps. Volunteers should bring their own gloves and masks (though these can be provided if needed).

IMPORTANT: If you think you may be sick or are feeling unwell, or have been in contact with someone who may have been exposed to COVID-19, please do not sign up for this opportunity. (Feel better!)
