2020 Pandemic Library: Volunteer Interviewers

On March 20, the New York Governor’s office turned off the lights. Libraries, along with schools and local businesses, were forced to shut their doors. Life as we knew it was turned on its side, but public libraries rose to meet the challenge, went to their computers, and continued to interact with their patrons by offering digital services and programs.

The Westchester Library System is looking to capture and share these stories, told by the people themselves about how their jobs, as well as the library itself, adapted to continue connecting with their patrons during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Volunteers are needed to conduct interviews of library staff over Zoom.
