Water Chestnut Removal at Tibbetts Brook Park

Volunteers will be on land and in canoes to pull an invasive aquatic plant from the lake: water chestnuts! Tools and work gloves will be provided, but volunteers must bring their own water to drink. Please wear closed-toe shoes and clothes that can get wet and dirty. Volunteers not going out in rowboats will be wearing adult-size waders and standing in the water. This project will occur rain or shine, but it will be cancelled for thunderstorms.
