Giving Tree Global, Inc. ("Bread of Life") is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that provides food, clothing, and institutional support to food pantries and homeless shelters throughout Westchester County where one in five people is hungry.
Giving Tree Global works with a variety of partners to deliver food relief to those in need; however, a specific emphasis is placed on utilizing one of the most abundant resources in our community: excess food. Its team works with local grocery stores, restaurants, and food distributors to deliver excess food that would otherwise be discarded as waste to those experiencing food insecurity.
Volunteers are needed to staff the outreach tables at local grocery stores, distribute shopping lists to customers, and collect food items. Volunteers may express interest in signing up for any or all of the available shifts:
