Sort Medical Supplies to Help Survivors of Hurricane Dorian

Help Afya Help Survivors of Hurricane Dorian - Afya has met with The Bahamas Consulate and together we constructed a multi-phase relief plan.We are committed to helping the numerous areas impacted by the storm.
There are many ways you can help: Come to the warehouse to volunteer to sort and pack humanitarian supplies. Financially support our effort to help those affected with a donation large or small. Collect and/or donate new, unopened supplies for those affected by the hurricane. Our supply list follows:

Soap
Toothbrushes and toothpaste
Diapers (children and adult) and wipes
Deodorant
Shampoo and conditioner
Combs
Tampons and sanitary pads
Bug repellent
Sunscreen
Skin lotion
Antibiotic lotion
Tarps

Afya recovers surplus medical supplies and equipment from healthcare centers and hospitals, who discard 7,000 tons of usable medical supplies every year! Volunteers will sort, inventory and pack our recovered medical supplies. This enormous volunteer effort allows us to maintain a detailed database of our inventory so we can tailor our shipments to countries in desperate need of these supplies. Please note that if you register for this volunteer opprotunity, Afya also requests that you sign up on their wesite as well : https://afyafoundation.volunteerhub.com . This step is mandatory as it will guide you to fill out their paperless waiver in order to participate in this volunteering opprotunity. Volunteers must be at least 17 years old or 5 years old with an adult to participate in this event. Please wear closed toed shoes. Parking is avalible in front of low rise warehouse facing building.
