Opportunity Details

Podcast Producer

The Hudson Valley Singers are a non-audition, local amateur chorus of singers from a variety of backgrounds and with varying degrees of proficiency. The group's mission is to promote and enable the performance and enjoyment of classical choral music as well as provide amateur singers an opportunity to perform in a large chorus under professional conditions, music direction, and accompaniment. The group has performed in everything from Bach’s St. Matthew’s Passion and Mozart’s Requiem to King Lilly of the Valley and Carmina Burana. The Singers have performed in English, German, French, Italian, Latin, Polish, Russian, Yiddish and Portuguese. In addition to many churches in Westchester, the group has performed in St. Paul’s Cathedral and Le Poisson Rouge in Manhattan, the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, in Costa Rica and Budapest, and in Elmsford at the Captain Lawrence Brewery.

The Hudson Valley Singers would like to start producing short podcasts featuring interviews with its director, Eu Sirotkine, and other members of the chorus, guest soloists, and musicians on various topics of interest to the community.

The volunteer Podcast Producer would coordinate with the HVS President and Board and would have a wide range of responsibilities, as well as considerable artistic freedom to complete this project.
