Make Protective Masks for Senior Living Direct Care Staff

Masks are needed for direct care workers and essential staff at the Wartburg Adult Care Community. Crafty volunteers can tap into their sewing and organizational skills to help make the personal protective equipment; this is a great family-friendly activity, too.

Wartburg, located in Mount Vernon, offers integrated, and comprehensive senior residential and healthcare services. Unlike conventional retirement communities, Wartburg provides a wide range of services to both residents living on its 34-acre campus and people in their own homes. Services includes independent, assisted living and nursing home care as well as inpatient/outpatient rehabilitation, home care, and adult day care services.

To volunteer:

  1. Express interest below to record this opportunity in your Volunteer New York! profile
  2. Create your handmade masks; visit the CDC website here for instructions
  3. Mail your masks—or drop them off at the gate—at the following location:

    Wartburg Adult Care Community
    1 Wartburg Place
    Mount Vernon, NY 10552
