Older Adults Needed to Make Social Phone Calls
Volunteer New York! is looking to match older volunteers with local youth in a one-to-one basis, bringing intergenerational conversation into their lives—giving both an opportunity to listen and learn. We are looking for caring volunteers aged 60 and older to provide support and friendship, as things reopen and we transition to the "new next."
The program runs for 9 weeks over the summer, with volunteers making one phone call (approximately 20 minutes) per week.
