Board Members

Since 1982, Student Advocacy, Inc. has served the Westchester community in offering legally based, problem-solving advocacy to resolve school matters that put youth at risk of academic failure, school suspension, attendance problems, and/or dropout. Its mission is to help strengthen children's education, protect their civil rights at school, and ensure opportunities that improve their lives.

Board members work extensively with the Executive Director and administration to provide strategic leadership, financial oversight, and community ambassadorship in support of the organization's mission.

The Board of Directors meets on the last Tuesday of the month in September, October, November, February, March, April, and June from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Each board member is expected to work on at least one of the following committees: Program, Governance, Development and the Overcoming the Odds Awards, Finance, Audit, and Social Engagement.
