Opportunity Details
Open Door Family Medical Centers, in partnership with Feeding Westchester (formerly the Food Bank of Westchester) and the Larchmont Mamaroneck Hunger Task Force, hosts a massive giveaway of over 10,000 pounds of fresh produce donated by Hunts on the last Saturday of each month!
We need volunteers to set up tables, unload the produce from large pallets, pre-bag smaller items, and distribute fresh fruit and vegetables to those in need. Volunteers clean up the parking area and sort piles of empty cartons, crates, and pallets for recycling.
Note: Shift runs from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Must be able to lift 20 pounds. Spanish language helpful (but not required).
Age Minimum (with Adult): 14+, Minimum Age:17+
