Opportunity Details
Therapeutic Riding Program Volunteers
Pegasus Therapeutic Riding is looking for volunteers to help with two distinct roles for its Therapeutic Riding Program:
- Horse Leaders: volunteers who lead horses during therapeutic riding classes. Horse Leaders must have experience working with horses
- Sidewalkers: volunteers who walk beside students during therapeutic riding classes, communicate with students, and offer them physical and emotional support. Sidewalkers do not need horse experience
Both types of volunteers should be willing to commit to the same day and time each week. All volunteers are required to attend Pegasus Therapeutic Riding's introductory volunteer orientation training. This is a fun program with lots of interaction with horses and ponies and a great learning opportunity for special needs participants. Express interest below!
