Opportunity Details
Help support homebound seniors when the weather is poor by creating Blizzard boxes. A Blizzard Box is an assortment of donated non-perishable food items packed into shoe boxes. The shoe boxes are delivered to the recipients of our Home Delivered Meals Program in case normal food deliveries are halted due to weather related or other emergencies. The shoe boxes are delivered by Meals on Wheels Volunteer Drivers.
Blizzard Box Instructions
Deliver to the Volunteer New York! office in Tarrytown or Meals on Wheels office in Nanuet.
Age Minimum (with Adult): 5+, Minimum Age:18+
