Patient Care Volunteer

Great volunteer opportunity for those interested in careers in psychology, nursing, psychosocial rehabilitation, social work, psychiatry, medicine, and hospital administration.
 
Volunteers on our psychiatric inpatient units, under the supervision of the nursing staff, will assist the staff with the daily activities on the unit which include but are not limited to performing hourly rounding, interacting with patient population in small group settings, providing companionship, engaging in communication, participating in therapeutic activities, attending some meetings and conferences, observing group sessions, participating in and assisting with patient groups, attending daily huddle, occasionally attend rounds, participating in new patient orientation and other duties as directed by the nursing staff and clinical team.
