Water Chestnut Removal on Tibbetts Brook Park Lake

Be a part of removing an invasive species on Tibbetts Brook Park Lake! Volunteers will be on the lake in canoes pulling the water chestnut, piling the invasive into buckets and then transferring to land for removal.

We will be removing the water chestnut Friday July 13th, 20th & 27th and Wednesday 8/8/18. Register for as many dates as you can participate!

Our long term goal is to begin a full project in Spring 2019. The idea of doing a 4 day pilot this year is to not only begin the process of removal on this invasive and degrading plant species from the Tibbetts Brook Park Lake but to form a better understanding of the effort needed to remove the species in years to come.

More in depth details will be emailed after registration.

Hope to see you there!
