Putnam Service Dogs' Day in the Park Event is Saturday, September 22nd, at Green Chimneys' campus, Brewster, NY. We need volunteers to join our Event Committee, and work the day of the event. We need volunteers to be Route Guides for the 5K run, and the Strut Your Pup Parade, passing out water, protein bars, alerting in case of a medical emergency. We also need Parking Guides, and Security folks alerting our guests to not enter the dormitory area of the Green Chimney's campus (where students are). There will be food trucks, a DJ, vendors, Westy (mascot from Danbury Westerners), an aerialist, and dog and family games. Our 6 pups in training will be heading teams for the 5K and Strut your Pup Parade on crowdrise, and people can form their own teams as well. We'll need volunteers from 8:45am-2pm (most from 8:45am - noon). All volunteers will be given an event tee shirt.
