Board Members

Friends of Music Concerts is seeking Board Members and committee volunteers to help the organization expand its community of support and elevate its public profile. Board members serve for at least 3 years and attend approximately 6 concerts and 10 board meetings throughout each year. Board Members work collaboratively with a diverse team of committed people who are excited about both sustaining and expanding Friends of Music Concerts' reach into the future.

This is a great opportunity for individuals with a passion for the arts and classical live performance music who want to make a long-term commitment to service. Individuals with recent, current, or past experience and expertise in the following are especially encouraged to express their interest:

  • Grant writing
  • Finance
  • Development
  • Publicity and marketing
  • Audience outreach
  • Diversity and inclusion

Friends of Music Concerts, Inc. is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization founded in 1954 that has brought the finest chamber music to Westchester audiences. It showcases world-renowned ensembles as well as distinguished younger artists who illustrate the diversity and quality of chamber music today. With its residency program in public schools and free student admission to its concert series as well as a scholarship program, it gives young people enhanced exposure to, and an appreciation of, classical music, with a view toward building audiences of the future.
