Volunteering at The New Jewish Home/Sarah Neuman

Volunteers are needed for a variety of opportunities at The New Jewish Home, Sarah Neuman. Some opportunities include:

• Arts and crafts
• Bingo assistant
• Cooking
• Computer games (provide assistance for residents)
• Escort (transporting residents to rehab gym, activities, services, or other outings)
• Dining assistance
• Friendly visits for residents
• Games (playing chess, checkers, cards, board games)
• Gardening and planting
• Leading lectures or discussion groups (current events, reading short stories, etc.)
• Letter- and card-writing
• Music (playing an instrument or singing)
• Nurses station assistance (answering telephone and call bells)
• Pet visits “4 Paws” program
• Physical and occupational therapy
• Recreation programs assistance
• Religious/spiritual services and programs assistance
• Special events and holiday programs
• “Tea Time” assistant
