Make a Difference - Be A Buddy!
Our BuddyBall Sports program allows active boys and girls with developmental disabilities, to play sports “just like other children do”. These children range in age from 3-21, though most are under 14 years of age.
We start our basketball program on January 14th and buddies are needed to help the 75-100 children we anticipate will join us. The program is held at the Pearl River High School gym. No special skills or knowledge are needed- just the desire to help. (A spring track program will begin in late April and a fall soccer program will be held in September. Each program generally runs for 7 weeks).
Buddies are always welcome to join at any time and can come as often (or little) as they like. Buddies should be old enough to focus on and help another child- generally at least 12 years of age. We will track and verify community service hours if needed.
