Fill Me Up & Donate Me Bag: A simple holiday DIY project to help the hungry!

Purchase food and receive a Hunger Relief Corps Bag!

All you do is buy the “most wanted” items on our hunger partners’ wish list:
•	Whole wheat pasta
•	Low-sodium tomato sauce
•	Canned beans, soups, and fish
•	Dry cereals
•	Peanut butter

Have the kids add a touch of kindness, too!  Encourage them to create placemats for holiday meals or homemade cards.  Artwork is always appreciated accompanied by friendly words.  Since we’ll be collecting and distributing the food through a variety of holidays, we suggest that you include an everyday sentiment such as –

Thinking of you!
Hoping to give you a smile today!
May your day be joyful!

Once you've finished your shopping, drop off the items at our office in Tarrytown, NY, and we'll give you a reusable "Fill Me Up & Donate Me" bag!  Notably, you will be able to use the bag again and again continually spreading the message that donations are needed.

We will distribute your generous donations to food pantries and other hunger-relief partners in our community.

If you’d like to predict your personal impact, use this Meal Math: Divide the weight of your food in pounds by 1.2; the United States Department of Agriculture defines a meal as 1.2 pounds of food.

Remember, when you donate food, you are doing more than providing nutrition; you are giving hope to families and children who face hunger each and every day.
