Many of us look forward to celebrating Holidays with the ones we love, but for others, it can be very lonesome. Holidays of any kind can lead to extra heartache for those who may have lost somebody close to them. You can partner with Meals on Wheels to make cards for seniors to help brighten their day. Caring Cards & Crafts is a great project for students, teachers, youth groups and families. The cards & crafts are simple, handmade cutouts, but the thought and meaning behind each one is so much greater. The cards are filled with love, good wishes and even poetry.
Help brighten a smile for a senior, literally.
Create Miles of Smiles bags.
How it works:
Fill a bag with all the products a senior needs for a healthy smile. Inside the Quart size Ziploc bag be sure to include: -Soft tooth brush -Toothpaste -Floss -Mouth wash -A Miles of Smiles Flyer (We provide this)
Miles of Smiles Instructions
Help support homebound seniors when the weather is poor by creating Blizzard boxes. A Blizzard Box is an assortment of donated non-perishable food items packed into shoeboxes. The shoeboxes are delivered to the recipients of our Home Delivered Meals Program in case normal food deliveries are halted due to weather related or other emergencies.
The shoeboxes are delivered by Meals on Wheels Volunteer Drivers.
