BLACK LIVES MATTER

Volunteer New York! stands with those fighting for the dignity and the rights of African Americans. We believe systemic racism must be addressed head on, openly discussed and challenged on all levels. We believe actionable steps need to be taken to eradicate systemic racism to achieve racial equality.

Over the last few weeks we have begun work to aggregate the organizations in our region that uplift and support Black community members. We know this list is not definitive, and it will change, but it is a place to start. We hope you will support these organizations listed below and learn about their missions, the roles they play in our community and what their active needs are.

This is just one small step of many. Please check back as we continue to update this page with resources and local opportunities to support these important efforts.
