MLK Tribute & Social Time with Residents of Schaffer Extended Care Center

One Change at a Time http://www.1changeatatime.org

Volunteers will come together and lead an MLK tribute day for the residents at Schaffer Extended Care Center.  Volunteers will conduct social activities with residents including arts and crafts, games, hear a recital of MLK "I have a dream speech", and enjoy refreshments and more.  The purpose of this project is to encourage and inspire "togetherness" by bridging the gap between children, youth, adults, and older adults while paying tribute to MLK.

About 1Change at a Time: Our mission is to promote leadership, diversity, and responsibility by uniting young men and women regardless of real or perceived differences for the purpose of developing leaders who are effective change agents in and beyond their communities.

We fulfill this mission by serving a range of communities with programs focused on volunteerism, education, youth development, and mentorship. 1Change at a Time is an organization that understands the importance of creating an environment that teaches young men and women how to lead and serve effectively, compassionately, and collectively.
