Teach Kids about Healthy Foods at TaSH

What's in Season? at the TaSH (Tarrytown and Sleepy Hollow Farmers Market) – Activities tent with kids teaching them about produce!

Three volunteers will work with children in an educational and experiential booth introducing them to a farm-fresh item. You will encourage children to observe the produce – smell it; touch it; taste it. Talk about what they’ve noticed about the food, where the food is grown, how it might be prepared and eaten. You will document the children’s reactions and then help them to draw or color a picture of the item and perhaps work on another craft. All artwork will be displayed throughout the week at local spots.

A wonderful opportunity for teens to get their community hours!
