Create “sock bundles” for the homeless. This is a DIY project that can be done at home with your children or as a group project. Socks are one of the most needed and least donated items in homeless shleters. Sock bundles consist of a small water bottle and piece of candy with a pair of socks. Tie the socks around the water bottle with the piece of candy tucked in between. Then, with ribbon, attach a homemade card. Socks should be for men, sizes large or extra-large. Please only use crew or knee high socks (black or white socks are fine). Bundles will go out in December and January, so general card messages work best: -Wishing you a wonderful day -Thinking of you -Hope this brightens your day Or anything similar. These donations can be dropped off at Volunteer New York! in Tarrytown, Monday through Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm and will be distributed during a Midnight Run in NYC. #Holiday2016
