New Yorkers in our area are encouraged to drop off goods for donation at the Mid Hudson Valley drop-off location at the Yonkers Armory, NY. For those of you living in or close to New Rochelle, you may also drop off donations at Steiner Sports, 10 Cedar Street, New Rochelle (loading dock - across street from Toyota dealership), Mon-Fri, 9am - 6pm, until Friday, Oct 6th. Steiner Sports will then transport all donations to the Yonkers Armory. Please note only the following items can be accepted for donation: batteries, flashlights, portable lanterns, diapers, baby wipes, cases of water and feminine hygiene products. All items must be unopened and in their original packaging. The Yonkers site will accept donations every day between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Steiner Sports will accept donations Mon-Fri between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m, until Oct 6th. Volunteers are needed to donate items. This donation drive for hurricane relief is being organized by New York State. This is the only information Volunteer New York! has about this drive. Questions should be directed to the State.
