Legal Services of the Hudson Valley, the only provider of free comprehensive civil legal services in the seven counties of the lower and mid Hudson Valley, is looking for attorneys who want to share their expertise and passion for justice on a ProBono basis to help low-income individuals and families in need. We recruit Pro Bono attorneys for civil matters that cannot be handled by Legal Services of the Hudson Valley staff because of limited resources. These include cases in the following areas of law: family, consumer, housing, wills, bankruptcy, elder and unemployment, among others. We do not handle or assign criminal cases. Since many more clients apply for assistance than there are lawyers available, efforts are made to refer high-priority cases first.
